Hi, I have a Vaio TZ150N/B. Unfortunately, I found a scratch in the center of the screen. It's a very fine scratch, but I'm very uptight about having perfect screens on everything I have.

What can I do to fix this problem? Is there a way to remove the scratch by replacing a part of the display? Or do I have to actually buy an entirely new LCD screen, in order to take away the scratch?

Have the screen replaced under warranty. If you try to remove the scratch you may make it worse.

Does Sony's warranty cover cosmetic damages, like scratches?

Also, is there something I can do to prevent scratches in the future? Such as putting a special screen protector on the screen? I'm just afraid that there may be a reflection.

The warranty should cover the scratches if the laptop came that way new. Take it back to where you purchased it if it has not been too long. If the lid was defective and caused it or a manufacturing flaw caused it the warranty should cover it but it may be difficult to prove.

it won't be covered by warranty. your only hope is taking it back to where you bought it, only if it was already scratched when you bought it.

Get a knife and really make that sucker worse. then return it. do you honestly think they will return a laptop with a fine hair scratch? if they did, imagine how many customers would return...

"my laptop actually gets warm. unacceptable because small things with alot of power inside just usually dont get warm!"

"my keys make noise..but i dont want them to be mushy, but not clicky either. i want a refund."

ect... i dont know how bad the scratch is but if its not noticeable unless your looking for it, i doubt they will replace that.
