    1) I am looking to purchase two sticks of 2 GB Kingston DDR2 DIMM, are they right for my laptop?

    2) Is there a guide somewhere that shows me how to do so? I cannot find it.

    Thanks in advance :)

I own an SZ3 and it takes So-DIMM DDR2 PC2-5300 (667), yours should be the same but to be sure you should take look at the actual memory installed on your laptop.

There is one thing I am unsure about, no doubt someone else will know, and that is timings e.g. 5-5-5-15, 4-4-4-4-12 etc... not sure whether this information is important.

Timing just talks about how fast the RAM will be. People generally like RAM with lower timings, but I'm personally skeptical about just how much of a difference it makes.

When buying RAM, just pay attention to the # of pins (don't accidentally buy desktop RAM!) and the speed (PC2-5300) and you should be okay. Corsair also has a memory finder for your system if you want to be absolutely safe about compatibilities.

crucial.com is your best bet. I ordered ram for two older vaios and everything was flawless. They have a system that will tell you exactly what you can use.

Oh, and their ram is of the highest quality.

    thank me later.

Very easy, there should be two places you can unscrew under your laptop. one of them is the harddisk, the other is the RAM. Assuming you know the very basics of putting in RAM, place it exactly like the one that is already in there.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, get someone that knows a little bit about building pcs. It will take him 2 mins and a half.

You have to take out te palm rest to change the harddisk, and I am not sure where exactly the RAMs are placed
