I have some questions for AW owners:
    1. How often do you carry it with you?
    2. Without changing the native screen resolution, the DPI or the default font size from within the program, do you have any problem reading text at extended period of time? For example: do you find it tiring reading this forum without changing the font size with FireFox?
    3. How do you find its gaming performance at its native resolution? Which games are you playing?
    4. Do you find using the touchpad awkward since it is off center?

    1.) Daily.

2.) I do not have a problem reading text in any scenario.

3.) Whether I can leave it at native resolution depends on the game, of course. at 1920x1080, I play games like Sins of a Solar Empire (60fps+), all of The Orange Box (50-60fps+), Unreal Tournament 3, Bioshock (50-60fps+), and World of Goo (60fps+). I drop the resolution for games like Crysis (which is quite playable @ 30-50fps) and Empire Total War (25-40fps).

4.) No. And it's my first off-center laptop. You don't notice it at all.

    1) I don't. ;)
    2) No problems reading text. Despite the small size, the text appears clean/sharp (thanks to Vista's ClearType) and thus easy to read.
    3) Haven't installed any games just yet.
    4) It's off-center from the whole laptop, but centered with the main keyboard -- no problem whatsoever.

Yeah, so if you use a large notebook on your lap rather than a desk, or even on a lap tray, you find yourself shoving the system over to the right to center the keyboard on your lap.

As for reading 1920x1080, it's easier on an AW than on an FW because the screen is larger. Although I haven't compared them side by side, I'd bet it's more like reading a 900x1600 on an FW.

The higher the resolution the smaller the type, yes, but the smaller the screen the smaller the type, as well. So, 18.4 is larger than 16.4 so the Full Hd resolution on the AW should be easier to read than on an FW.

This page is helpful, even though the 18.4 is not pictured, but listed (the screen shots side-by-side help to see these differences): http://www.notebookcheck.net/DPI-Fineness-of-Displays.1310.0.html
