I plugged in the battery charger and the light doesnt blink signaling that its recharging. Is this suppose to happen on the SZ?

Also, the camera function on this laptop seems to have a lot of fuzzy looking dots. Is this normal?

Finally, my last question. Does the bluetooth light have to be on all the time for bluetooth to function properly, or does it turn on once it sees a bluetooth device?

EDIT: Nevermind about this last question. I found out by reading a thread that was a few ways below this one.

Other than that everything seems to be fine rgiht now. I wont be able to fully mess around with it until this weekend.

    Thanks!

    1. Mine doesnt blink so no.
    2. The camera is not that good so the fuzzy dots may be because the pixels/resolution is generally not good. Room lighting can affect this too. Nevertheless, it pry shouldn't be bad enough to have a bunch of fuzzy dots...so I would say no.
    3. You answered yourself.

    2. In room ambient lighting, ie. only a couple lamps, yes this is normal. This is practically a pinhole camera, so its quality is generally expected to be poor, especially in low light. In a brighly sunlit room I would expect things to improve.

    Thanks for the responses!

1st off the blinking light on the SZ is not suppose to be blinking right?
If there is something wrong with this, how am I suppose to fix this?

    2. I will try the camera in a different room with better lighting because I've seen my cousin using his Sz120 and the camera seems pretty goood.

    Thank you!

When running on battery, the battery indicator light is ON solid. When plugged in and charging, I believe it will blink if it is below a certain charge percentage. I know I have seen mine blink when charging, but right now, I'm at 97% and no blinking.

Battery light : double-blinks when battery is charging

: blinks when battery is running out of power
: illuminate when using battery power

It does not blink when it gets over a certain charge state. I'm not sure what percentage of charge that is.

At 75% mine blinks, when I was at 97%, no blinking at all. I'm going to see if I can tell when it stops blinking.

when battery is about 85% charged, battery indicator turns off.

BTW, did you charge the battery for around 13 hrs for the first time

Yeah, I just noticed mine was at 86% and not flashing anymore.

I charged mine probably closer to around 11-12 hrs the first time.

I see... Yea the percentage was above 85 so that explains why.

As for charging the battery, I didnt know that it was suppose to be cahrged for that long. I always thouhgt once it was up to 100% just take it out. OOOPS!

    Thank you everyone!

Well, a new battery takes longer to charge than a "seasoned" one. It may say it is fully charged, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is. Letting it charge for the ~12hr period insures that it reaches capacity. You didn't break it or anything, but you may not have gotten the full potential out of it until it has been through a couple of charge cycles.

Ya, after playing around a little bit, the blinking stops after a certain percent is charged.....
