    1. Does the FW + radeon card have any heating issues?

    2. Does the FW require any notebook cooler (I don't want to use one).

    3. Is it okay for college purposes (I won't be carrying it around much)?

    4. Anyone known issues? Should I get a 3 year warranty, if so?

Reason I'm asking is because I recently had to cancel an order on an HP laptop that had GPU temperatures at 90 celcius after gaming.

Not sure about the FW, but would that HP laptop happen to be a dv5t?

    1. well the FW is a pretty good improvement over the HP.
    2. nope, don't think you'll need one.
    3. yep. its only weighs 6.4 lbs. less than a lot of standard 15.4" notebooks so it shouldn't be a problem even when you carry it around.
    4. Thats more of a personal choice, a lot of ppl didn't and then there is the bunch that got 2 or 3 yr because they thought that they would need it.

Sony serial numbers? Is there a place I can verify these numbers?

I assume I'd call Sony and tell them the serial numbers from my laptop once it comes?
