I'm in the middle of a bad situation here. I ordered an SSD and turned it over to a local shop to install it for me.
As you can see from these pictures, the SSD I have is missing the clip at the top which keeps the ribbon down. The local shop says it was never there, the place I ordered it from says it was there. So I'm at a stalemate there.
My question is if I were to get this installed on a TZ, is the ribbon a tight enough fit without that clip holding it down, or would it come loose? there's not much room for movement inside the TZ, but I just wanted to know if anyone's installed anything onto the ZIF connector and found it to be a snug fit?
Thanks in advance for any help..

Dude I don't know? It has been my experience that most of these connectors are so tight that they can't really fall off? Where did you get your SSD drive and how much was it?

i got it off a site that was linked here (i'd rather not name them, because my experience wasn't positive), but they claimed it was there when they shipped it. i paid $600, so naturally, i'm not happy about it, and just trying to recoup some use out of this drive.
more than anything, that's all i'm looking to get back in responses, that it would be a snug fit and that it might be okay w/o the clip
