I just received my Vaio Z today. Very excited after playing around with it for a few hours! :) Just had two questions regarding setting it up.

    1) I got this thru the Microsoft Store and it seems that they have made some additional tweaks to the system (Sony seal was already broken and it was taped over with Microsoft Signature seal). Should I just use it as is or should I reinstall using the recovery media?

    2) if I do reinstall, can I opt for the fresh start so I don't get all the Sony bloatware? Came with Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

    Many thanks in advance!

The first thing you want to do is burn the recovery discs as soon as possible. Did it come with a Windows DVD? If so you can probably do a clean install of windows, then get the drivers from the sony support website. I think fresh start is a factory option and if it didn't come with it, you might not be able to install without bloatware using the recovery media. The only other option I can think of is to use your legal windows license while installing windows using another win7 dvd.
