Hey guys I will be getting an SZ680 in a bout a week, and I have an hp dv9500 that has 4 GB right now. so i know that the sz680 comes with 2 gb (1 gb x2) of ram and I would like to remove one of the ram slots in the sz680 and put one of the 2gb stick from the hp laptop into the sony so that it will have 3gb. Ok so here is my question, would I have any compability problems if I put the one from the hp in the sony? will it work correctly?

    thanks in advance.

As long as it's the same specs (which it should be), then there will be no problem swapping ram from one to the other.

Ram is not proprietary to one and only one computer type. It can be used by any that support that speed.
