So far from reading from other forums, The new vaio TX series except ram upgrade using DDR2 200pin 400mhz or above (throttle down to 400mhz) using Kingston or other brand.

I want to know have anyone upgraded their ram yet on the TX series and what brand and spec do they use for the ram?.

I currently have 512mb and want to increase it by a further 1gb but want to double check first.

    Cheers

You won't have any problem with Crucial, Kingston, Kingmax or Corsair. I'm not sure which of the four make the micro DIMM cards though. I bought mine direct from Fujitsu, I can't recall which brand it is.

I'm planning on upgrading my TX650P to 1 gig of RAM. Is there anything special I need to do to prepare the system for the upgrade? How about prevent things like static, etc?

Have purchase the Corsair 1gb 200pin ddr2 533mhz and it worked like a charm.

Had issue installing it initially but just remember to insert it at an angle slightly 45 degree, and then push down to click in.

I installed an additional 512mb of Centon RAM today without any issues.
