Sony S series specs are INCREDIBLE but have 3 problem that make this notebook use less if you are a traveler.

    1. SONOMA Based S Last only 3 hour on Level 5/9 Brightness and not full load using and of course no DVD/CD using. So if you want to view a DVD it's IMPOSIBLE to do without AC ADAPTER. DOTHAN Based S Last resenoable 5 hours on Level 5/9 Brightness and not full load using. In full load and full bright you can get max 2,5/3 hours.

    2. NOISE, I had S2XP (DOTHAN) and the noise is really noticiable in studying areas for example. And it never shutdown, you can hear fans and hardisk almost with PC in SUSPENDED mode.

    3. SONAMA Based S have a 0.500kg AC ADAPTER. Nearly twice the DOTHAN one cause it goes for 19V instead of 16V. Why buy a 2kg notebook when you need to carry (Always cause 3 hours of battery are useless) a 0.500kg AC ADAPTER.

So if you need to travel every day with your notebook go for T series and use in home or office a Desktop PC.

I have gotten great battery life witht he EXTENDED battery with my 380 at 3/4 brightness watched an entire movie plus another 1/3 of a movie.
The fan is a little annoying but not that bad but mine did shut off
And I TOTALLY agree on the power supply! It weighs a full 80 grams more than the Dothan 360 one. It is simply too large. All in all though it is still a 6 lb. package and that is about what every "light" notebooks travelling weight is - without getting acramped keyboard model like the T series.
