I recently got an update through the microsoft windows update for the GeForce 8400M on the SZ670N which updated it to version 167 from Sony's 101. After doing so whenever i boot into windows using the Intel GMA X3100 i get a RUNDLL32 error, i was wondering if anyone has found a work around to the problem without installing the version 167 nvidia drivers. Thanks

Not sure about the realtek issue...

It may have something to do with installing the new drivers and therefore the OS assuming that there is only one graphics chip. You could roll back the drivers or perform a system restore, then try to find how the system splits the driver information in the OS regarding the two graphics chips, then try installing only the relevant information in the relevant directories...

Maybe Sony has a driver update on their support site?

I had the exact same issue. The problem comes from an extra task which the updated NVidia driver inserts into your startup list (which is executed regardless of your SZ's stamina/speed switch setting).

What you need to do is run MSCONFIG, then find the 3 NVidia startups and uncheck the one with "Nvidia Driver Helper" or something like that - apparently it doesn't do anything substantial, but the other two do so leave them alone! I can't check precisely what it is called right now because am at my office using a different PC. If you need more info let me know and I'll check my SZ when I get home.

Yeah I had the same problem then just uninstalled the drivers...
Is there any performance benefit in installing this new update?
