Hi, I looking for some advice, I have a Vaio AW11Z/B and am currently running
a 32-bit version of windows vista. I am going to upgrade to Windows 7 and am looking to install the 64-bit version as I can then use more ram. I would also like to know if I can upgrade my current ram from 2 x 2gb to 2 x 4gb,
thanks in advance for any help.

You have the P45 chipset right?

If so then you should be able to get 2 x 4gb working just fine.

But the price for 4gb sticks is very high (like $200 per stick).

If you can find 64-bit drivers for your devices then it should be good.

Depends on what you use your notebook for.
Some things take up a lot of ram, I think photoshop will.
Also if you run a virtual OS.

But for gaming, you wont see the benifit from upgrading past 4gb ram.
