    The type is DDR3 PC3-8500. But 2 4gb sticks are pretty cost prohibitive! One stick runs about $220. They haven't really got to the production level to lower prices on that type of memory yet.

    Thanks for the info, I had know idea the sticks were so expensive, like @ 1/2 of the laptop cost ! thats crazy.........
