    Random Hard Drive Freezing

    This always happens at a random time after I bring my computer (vaio vpceb11fm or pcg 71312l) out of sleep. The hard drive light turns solid orange and none of my programs respond to anything. I can still move the mouse and the os still gives me messages such as "this program is not responding." Is this a known issue with this model? It has core i3, 4 gb of ram, and windows 7 Home Premium. It has done this since I bought it, I have done one os restore already.

    Certain lag is normal after waking up the PC...

    Have you checked your HDD S.M.A.R.T. status? Also take a look at Resource Monitor and determine which process is actually loading your HDD when the freeze occurs?
