Hello everyone, just a fast reformating question

I will be purchasing a Sony FE690 shortly with Windows Xp media center

I plan on reformating as soon as I receive this computer,

Now I have installed windows 10,000 times, give or take a 1,000 so

For this laptop all I need to do is throw in a Windows media center origional cd(( I actually have one of these, I know sony is crud and doesnt send one with the computer,))) and then just use the recovery disks that I will make from the laptop?

So is it as easy as Make recovery Disks from recovery utility>reformat with WXP media center install disc> Install from WXP media Disc> Use recovery disks to install drivers and wanted application:if any???

    Thanks

For me it was not this easy at all. XP Home came with the computer and I wanted to put my copy of XP Pro on it. The recovery partition didn't have some of the right drivers, and the website didn't have an audio driver at all. I ended up just doing a partial restore with the recovery disks and it works good now. Making the recovery disks is very easy, no troubles at all. It is a great machine though. Hope this helps out.
