Hey all, I uninstalled SmartWi from my SZ460 because it was eating a ton of CPU all the time. Well, now I can't turn my bluetooth and WWAN on and off. Anyone know how to reinstall SmartWi? I can't find it on the download support page. Thanks!

hmmmm... good question... I just got the sz480 and think it's the best laptop out there except for a few quirks with things like smartwi, but I'll blame Vista since it does seem to be just a *little* buggy as was mentioned on these boards elsewhere. As for the drivers... it's sad that Sony can't throw a couple of discs in without having to rip them yourself. It would be nice to have a drivers disc and recovery disc included with this high end ultra portable notebook.

go to sony esupport site. You can download it.

Ooh yeah I got it re-installed via the VAIO Recovery Center (from Windows Help). But... It doesn't work. It says smartwi.exe has stopped working. Oh Vista, why do you test me?

I'm going to circuit city today with my flash drive. I will try to get a working copy of the cingular version of the new smartwi. Wish me good luck.
