    Hi there,

does anyone have a working multitouch on the S-series or similar?
I tried the Dell Alps Driver and it gives quite some functionality but not real multitouch like i expect it to be.
    Like with two-finger-scroll and stuff...

Does anyone has a possibility do get this working?

are you using SA/SB series? what do you mean by 'real multi-touch' exactly? there are two drivers (from DELL and HP) posted in the SA/SB/SC owner's thread with two-finger scroll and other multi-touch features. it seems that you have tried the DELL driver but haven't been able to use some features; if so, that's weird. which driver are you using now?

I have used the Dell driver so far. Didn't notice there is anoter driver avaible.
I would like to have multitouch with two-finger-scroll like on an Macbook.
The Dell driver does only seem to have circular scroll and pinch-zoom but no two-finger-scroll...

i'm sure it has two-finger scroll ( maybe you should enable it in Control Panel > Mouse ? ). ask in the SA/SB/SC owners' thread and someone will be able to help you better. good luck! :)

Here's how to enable two finger scrolling for the Dell driver:

It seems the screenshot is from the Dell-specific software to configure the drver. This software does not start, when i click the image in "Control Panel -> Mouse". When i click the big image of the touchpad where it says "Click to change Dell Touchpad Settings", the dialog disappears but nothing shows up...

The software should be installed already. Try searching for DellTouchpad.exe (for me it is in C:\Program Files\DellTPad\ ) and run it from that folder.
If that doesn't work you can try to use the DellTPad.exe in the same folder that have two finger scroll in the multi-finger gestures settings.

You really have to wait for Windows 8 if you want to see improvements in touch & gesture controls. Win 8 puts so much emphasis on touch that improvements in hardware are bound to happen.

I have found the program you mentioned, but it shows another screen and options than the ones Megol's screenshot showed. There is no option for mutlitouch gestures...

If Windows 8 really implements better support for mutlitouch, I can't wait. It is time they do it finally!

Which driver version are you using?

[The only way Windows 8 can make a big difference would be replacing the scrolling system (that is character based in previous Windows versions), the rest is really up to the drivers. My opinion, take with some salt ;) ]

I have installed the Dell Driver, which someone posted in a german Vaio Forum, which should work. Then tried to let Windows update the driver on its on and now have the
Alps Pointing Device for VAIO, Version 7.109.529.202
    installed
