Hello! I have recently bought a SONY VAIO VGN-NR11M/S laptop. It came with Vista and because I am not really fan of them, I decided to setup Windows XP. I was able to find all the drivers except the Realtek High Definition one. I have tried to install a lot of versions of that driver - including the latest one - the installation seems that is running ok but unfortunately no driver is shown in my device manager and of course I cannot hear any sound. Any ideas for installing successfully this driver?
Thanks in advance

Grab the one off of Realtek's website.
If that doesn't work you are probably in for a format/reload. -
Thank you for your help! I formatted again my laptop and I installed sound card device first of all and it worked!! - fyi: in order to work properly we need to install realtek high definition driver at first and then realtek ac97 driver.
You are the best!! -
