Do you need it to be portable?

If so, the Z or the SR.

    If not, the FW.

    Sorry i was very vague.

Yeah from the whole Vaio collection. I just really like the design so more of less want to go for a vaio above another model.

I would like it to be portable as i intend doing a alot of traveling soon.

I play poker as a living so something with a good screen size / resolution so i can multi-table ? Good battery life would also be a big thing so i can play use it on the move trains etc

I don't think poker sites are huge computer intensive and apart from that i will only be really using it to surf ,watch movies and download listen to music.

Hope that enough info and thanks for the help.

well in terms of screen size and resolution the FW would be your pick. It has a decent battery life as well and an extended battery will provide plenty of battery life. Its pretty light for its size.

Based on the traveling i would say you need an ultraportable like the SR or Z. the Z has the better resolution and certain hardware. The SR is a true road warrior since you can easily get over 4 hrs from the standard battery, not a high resolution though.

I would recommend you hit a nearby store and check out the ultraportables and see if playing poker on them is ok for your eyes. Stores wont have the Z, might have the SR and probably will have the FW. If you can't find them, try to look at the SZ and TZ for a look at how playing poker would feel on an ultraportable.

Also looking for some help... getting a laptop but have no clue what I should be looking for. It has to be able to handle school work, movies, music, gaming (not too graphics intensive or anything just light general gaming), possibly video processing but I don't think it's a necessity at this point. I'm not moving around to often so it being "ultra" portable or just plain portable isn't too big a cause for concern for me either. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Thanks Hinduemperior good post.

I had a look at all your suggestions. The Z seems to be the one that would suit best. It has a decent sized screen , high resolution and lightweight.

I take it this is super new as its say pre-order on the sony site ?
