I got my laptop damaged  with no option to use the recovery wizard installed by Sony in the extra partition, I have requested for it on Sony support but it seems there's no way to get it, does anyone know how I can get a set of CD's to reinstall my Win XP and the correct drivers for my computer?

Unfortunately, you have to get these from Sony or Microsoft because we cannot upload or share copies of Windows.

You can download the drivers online, and try going to MS's website and use your CD key (provided on the bottom of your laptop) and try to order a set of real XP/Vista discs under their media replacement program.

I have asked to Sony support on-line about it but the amazin thing is that this support line is based in US and cannot help to users from other countries, I bought that laptop in Mexico and now I'm in Canada so I have to spend don't know how many hours on the phone in a long distance call to Mexico waiting for someone to help.

Have contacted Microsoft for media replacement and they said since this is an OEM software has to be supported by Sony.

Bottom line my computer has 2 days dead... :(
