Pardon my ignorance, I just bought a SZ330 and it doesn't come with Recovery Disks. What kind of disks do I use, any suggestions (dvd-r or cd-r? I'm new at this making my own recovery disks. Thank you in advance.

Well you can use 7 (?) CDs or 2 DVDs to make recovery disks.

I use DVD+R. To my knowledge, the recovery process for the SZ does not support duel layered DVD burning.

many people don't know this but all the user documentation for the sony can be found in the start menu. it also addresses how to make recovery disks. however, if you want one from sony they'll want 20 bucks USD.
