What happens to this feature after upgrading to Vista on SZ330? Is is going to stay fully functional like before (Means if you run recovery 'F10' option it will restre laptop to factory installed XP PRO) ?

I don't wan to rush if upgrading to Vista means this functionality will be gone.

    Thans All

I have not done myself so I can't say for sure. However I think if you do the clean install VISTA is going to format the entire HDD so the 'F10' will no longer work. Before you do any thing create the Recovery Disks

Others on the forum here may be able to tell with their experience how it's going to be with the Upgrade option.

If you can do the fixmbr or fdisk /mbr it might be fixed (at least it works for my ASUS - installed Linux, the recovery F9 was gone, did fixmbr and it came back)

all i did was a clean install of vista, and to check if the parition was still there i just hit f10 when i booted. Vista does not erase the partition because it is hidden, only installs on the primary hdd.

I actually did this after installing Vista, and can confirm that it does, in fact, revert back to a working XP pro operating system.

My first Vista install got messed up (long story) ---- I ended up using the recovery partition to revert my computer to XP Pro, and then ran the express upgrade again. Went perfectally.
