Hello! I had a Sony Vaio VGN-N230E, with Windows Vista, and I´m having problems with the made of recovery discs. When I´m starting to burn the first dvd, a error message said " THE DISC COULD NOT BE CREATED, BOOT.ISO MISSINS, OSCDIMG.EXE FAILED". I´m not an expert in computers, and I´m afraid to do something wrong.
Can someone help me??
Thanks

sounds like your recovery partion is corrupted. have you tried different DVD media?
-
also try updating the recovery software from the vaio site. it happened to me with my vaio GRT before.
-
No, but I´ll try. And if my recovery partion is really corrupted, there is something I could try to fix it?
-
Hum, I don´t find this update, just something about Vaio Backup, but didn´t fix the problem.
-
And I had Windows Vista Home Premiun version. This version could be the source of the problem?
-
how GB do you need for the recovery disk!!!!
-
Almost 7 GB. Why?
-
yes that's true. approximately 7GB. When you create them, disc 2 will be created first. i suggest using a DVD. anyway, have you managed to make your recovery tool to work.

I call the sony assistence and they made me restore my computer from the hidden drive that is inside the vaio. If after that the same problem happens again, I should use the garanty! Problaby is a serius problem. Anyway, I´m restarting now my vaio, let´s see what happened. Thanks
