    Recovery disk consequences

    Hi,

    My Sony VAIO laptop came with Windows Vista Home Premium installed. I created a recovery disk and installed Windows XP. Now I want to install Windows Vista again. In the meantime I have repartitioned my disk and created a backup partition where I put my files. If a use the recovery disk to reinstall Windows Vista will it affect the backup partition (D drive) or just the C drive.

    When using your recovery disc I think your given options to choose which partition to reinstall vista on.
