hi all, i have a vgn-a140b laptop and i have reinstalled windows xp. the hd has been repartitioned/formated. after having installed windows a went to sonys support site and downloaded all the drivers. but to my surprise they do not have all the drivers listed there. i have been told that i know need the the recovery disk in order to install those drivers.

the only problem is that i dont have/cant find this cd. i dont even remember having a recovery cd. does anyone have a recovery cd's for this model in which they can create an ISO and send it to me (ftp)?

    thx

ZaZ is correct. There is an image on the hard disk when you first get your notebook that you use to create the recovery disks yourself (if it's anything like my SZ, but I'm fairly certain all Sonys are that way now). If you already wiped it out, then you will have to rely on some other kind soul to share the ISOs with you, as you suggested unless some other clever person was able to locate all the drivers necessary for a clean install as someone on this forum did with the SZ. Good luck to you....

Or you can call sony parts and order replacement discs. They cost about $25 US dollars
