hey yall new to the forum !
Ok so i just got a new sony Vaio model PCG -71312L i love this computer
but it came with a bunch of random programs probably because i got it
from best buy. Any ways it says my ram usage is at 35% when its not even doing anything and i have 4g of RAM thought it do better than that. So i looked at the processes and its running 99 process and thats just way too much ! so i was wondering would it be easier to just delete each random program i dont want or just reinstall windows 7 because i have a copy of it? Also going back and finding what all those processes do sounds like alot of work.

Id like to keep all the sony media programs just dont know what to do thanks for the help.

Just go for a Clean Install.
Go to SONY site and download drivers needed.

Isn't there a way to manually shut down the programs running in the background to free up the extra RAM?

You can uninstall manually through control panel and then go back in program files to make sure everything from those programs got deleted and then use a CCleaner to get the rest out.

    For services info: Blackviper

I would say though that a clean install would be easier as long as you get the right drivers.
