I have reinstalled my new Vaio SR to boost up the speed.

Sony does not provide the operating system disc, hence I used the Vista home premium cd of my friend, who is having disc of Dell.

After reinstalling the operating system and all drivers, when I checked the computer properties. it shows 'DELL' symbol instead of SONY.

can any one help me out with this to recover SONY on my computer.

as for your question, i dont think it matters right? as long as its just a word that pops up, and as long as the computer still runs vista like any other computer would you should be fine. right?

why didn't you make recovery disks and use the recovery disks to reinstall vista...

I remember there are some software that lets you change the OEM picture and name easily but I forgot what's the program is called...
