My daughter just bought a Sony Vaio notebook model# PCG 7112L. Any suggestions for removing bloatware or adjusting the operating system settings for better performance? This thing is a dog with 70 processes running at startup.
Also cant' seem to find this model # on their website.
    thanx

i would just do a complete reinstall of the os from the recovery disk.. and make sure to uncheck the options to install all that junk.

and the os... which one do you have?

No setup disc came with package. I have found out that the model # is
VGN-NR285E/S. Operating system is Vista Home Premium. I'm going to try
    the Pc Decrapifier program.

    thanx
