I plan on removing the two stickers with the specs on my S5XP, is there anything I need to take into consideration here, or is the removal process easy? I don't really want any glue or paper bits still sticking to the places where the stickers used to be.
    Thanks

It should come off cleanly. Just peel it and pull slowly.

Right, and you can rub any glue off with your finger. I take all stickers off, prefer the clean look.

I just peel slowly and try to get all of the glue off. If some of the glue remains just use the old sticker to pull off the remaining goo. I don't like rubbing ... it seems to smear the glue around.

    Rubbing alcohol works well.

I would be careful with alcohol. I've seen it attack certain plastics and finishes. There isn't any need for any solvents if the sticker is removed slowly and any residue tacked up with the removed sticker.

Yeah definetly don't pour it on there. Put some a cottonball and use that to rub it. I peeled mine off very slowly and there was still residue.

Success, thanks guys! Better to take off the stickers early. Didn't to that on my old notebook and when I took them off, I had a two-coloured body.. not too nice..

I know this is an ancient thread. But just to say, pulled the labels (the Sony ones, not the others) off my 1-yr old SZ1XP. Dead easy & very little residue. Minor color differences in the metal, but i'm sure a bit of regular use will soon even that out. :)

FWIW all my stickers came off great except the Nvidia one, which left a bunch of crap. My wife suggested olive oil/vegetable oil to clean it up and that worked great w/o damaging the metal finish.
