I need to replace my hard-drive in my Sony Vaio VGN-N300 series laptop and I've googled every combination of keywords to find a service guide. Can anyone provide a pointer or suggestions on how to replace this hard-drive?

    thanks,
    Dale

    Please provide some more information.

Is there an access panel on the bottom of your laptop that gives acces to the harddrive?

Did you already buy a new harddrive? (if not, what is the model type in the device manager?)

Edit: just looked in the manual It seems there is no panel to the harddrive. My guess is that the procedure will be very similar to the SZ. You hard drive will be situated under the keyboard. You'll need to remove the keyboard to acces it. Try searching for replacing a hard drive in SZ and you'll get the idea.
