Almost 2 weeks ago my FZ190 died. From the looks of it, it seems like the Nvidia GPU overheated and that was it. I purchased an XPS Studio 13 to replace it and had thought about selling the FZ for parts. Looking on eBay I see some motherboards going for about $300. I'm thinking about buying one and installing it, if it works I'll give it to my dad so he can surf the net. How tough is the installation, I assume I have to pull the CPU from the old MB and install it? Anything else that needs to be done or is it plug and play? Is it worth the hassle? Any opinions appreciated. TIA.

If you are sure that it is the motherboard (and only), then yes it is worth it for $300.
