    Hi there,

I wanted some suggestions for changing my 32 GB SSD for a better/bigger SSD for my Vaio TZ90.

I only found thread about replacing the HDD for a SSD...is it difficult to change the existing SSD to another one? Any paricular thoughts?

I would like or a 64 GB or 128 GB fast SSD. Links would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

I have the Intel X-25M 160GB, very nice, fast and from the Hardware thread you'll find it is one of the favorites.
Clean installs are always the recommendation so the upgrade - simply would be take out the old and replace with the new and install your OS.
Been using mine for about 3 months now - doubt I'll ever go back to a mechanical drive for my personal laptop. These SSDs are just so fast and smooth and provide the overall boost that really enhances the computing experience.
PS - mine is on a Sony FW Series

The Intel X-25M 160 GB seems one of the best, but does it feet to the Vaio TZ? Is 2.5'' no? I think the TZ takes only 1.8''..correct me if I'm wrong.

Could anyone tell me what kind of SSD I must search for?

Just a heads up - the 128GB Super Talent 1.8" ZIF SSD that I just purchased for my TZ is NOT recognised at all by the BIOS. I have tried pretty much everything and am 100% I connected it correctly. The SSD works perfectly in an enclosure, so it's not that. Just beware that even if something ticks all the spec boxes, it might well not work, so only go with something that you know someone has been using, and for a long enough period of time to know that you will get long term reliability as you'll find another thread on here with people having issues with another brand in their TZs which despite being recognised by the BIOS, has other issues later on.
