Hey guys, I'm a first time poster and I am hoping to find answers to three questions I have. Please excuse me if this topic was discussed elsewhere, I could not find the proper information in my forum searching. I apologize for the weird urls, I cannot embed any links in my message until I make 15 posts, and apparently "matsus h i t a" is a dirty word.

I have a 2-3 year old Sony Vaio VGN-SZ120P/B whose warranty expired. My 6-cell battery, which is supposed to last 3-4 hours, now barely lasts 1 hour on stamina mode and 30 minutes on speed mode. Also, my lcd panel has developed a hairline crack in the upper left edge that's about 4 inches long, with a little seepage that looks like black ink was spilled on my screen. Needless to say it is time to replace these two parts. So here are my questions:

    1. Can I replace my laptop's 13.3" WXGA TFT LCD with CCFL backlight, with a 13.3" WXGA TFT LCD with LED backlight from a similar but newer model (like the VGN-SZ650N)? They are both of the VGN-SZ family, but I am not sure if the LED LCD panel will have the same size, connector, and other specifications that will allow it to work in my older model. Here is a link I found to the LED LCD panel:

    2. If I can't use the previously mentioned LED LCD panel, I have to choose between three CCFL LCD panels made for my SZ120, one from Sony and two from Toshiba. Does anyone know if there's a difference in quality between these three panels, and if so which one is the best one? Here are the links to the 3 I found:

    3. Also I am looking to buy this battery from Level 8 Technology. They have good reseller ratings and are highly rated by buyers on Pricegrabber. Would you guys have any reason not to buy this battery? Here is the link:

Thanks in advance for any advice. I would really appreciate any help :)
