    Hey,

I found the LCD replacement thread and was wondering how hard it would be to change out the lid of the VPCZ. It looked like there were metal connectors for the display and the webcam board that will need to be moved.

Anyone with experience with this? I would greatly appreciate your input. Looking to buy a new color for my Z!

It approx. takes one hour, a guitar pick, philips screwdrivers and care, there are a bunch of lcd replacing / disassembly guides here where you find all additional steps needed. Z service manual as well shows detailed information (exploded views of the computer) that may help you with your surgery.

I did that before and I think it is not a big deal, just be careful taking the display bezel off (it is very thin and fragile), I always use a plastic guitar pick as a crank to avoid dents and scratches on clipped plastic parts.
