    Hi there

    I have a sony vaio Z1 series VGN-Z26GN - 2009

The fans gotten quite noisy over the years and now can run very loud if I don't put the laptop in "passive" mode.

Has anyone bought a replacement fan off ebay/sony and can you advise if it would be a good idea to replace it now that it's been over 3 years of use?

DIY threads would also be appreciated

    Cheers
