Hi, I have opened my TZ so I could replace the grease on the CPU/heatsink using an Arctic Silver 5. Can you point me to the CPU/heatsink? I could see the chipset and the other components, but I can't seem to find the CPU. Is it under the board? Do I need to remove more screws and any other components? If so, can anyone point me to a Web site that shows one how to do it? Thanks.

Okay, the CPUs are under, near the RAM connector, based on this photo from a Japanese site.
But I have no idea how to get to them... -
Okay, I have opened my TZ four times already, I got close the last time, but I chickened out. I was afraid of cutting some cables (to the WLAN, fan, etc.). I think I'll wait a while... =B)

That pic is with the heatsink removed right?
It should be pretty straight-forward from there.
It's also good practice to remove the hdd, ram and wireless card before you disassemble a laptop. Although yours looks like a different setup than the usual
I'll try and find a few links that may help -
I'm not sure if the fan will also have to be moved, and the ExpressCard as well. The cables are too small I worry that it might not be possible to put them back using one's hands... -
Oh so you didn't take those pics?
You need a complete guide?
Some laptops can be conciderably more difficult to disassemble than others.
I took my vaio vgn apart with no guides whatsoever so if you're confident you can re-assemble it properly from your memory there shouldn't be a problem.
Any laptop disassembly guide should work as all laptops concist of the same 6 or 7 main components.
As long as you take your time with disconnecting wires and cables you shouldn't damage anything.
The fan will usually be attached to the heatsink thats connected to your cpu and maybe gpu aswell.
If you're not confident enough to do this yourself then i'm sure any local computer store will offer upgrade and repair for a small fee
