I have an issue with my laptop VAIO VGN-S1XP model and I need some help or solutions.

I have couple of games I play on steam. They run perfect but the only problem is that since I bought new netbook-cooler suddenly the game lags and I have like 20 fps. I see that the battery light lights on and in some moments it keeps been orange so it loses battery energy. I have always the laptop plugged-in with an AC Adaptor 16V. I scanned my laptop in case there was a virus or something but nothing changed. Defragmented the disks. Same problem keeps getting while in-game.

So I thought that the battery was dying so one day I left the laptop with the battery only and it hold up for 30 minutes and still at 35%. I think it is the adaptor's fault because everytime I move it without gaming. The battery light keeps flashing.

Please help me! Do I need to buy a new adaptor or battery? Or is there any other solutions.
