    Hi guys,

    kinda need a little help...
for those with VPC vaio Z series,

can you help me do this simple test?

    1. go to a dark room
    2. off the auto-brightness control
    3. change the background to solid colour black, and set brightness to max
    4. check the screen

can anyone detect any bright pixels / "twinkle twinkle little stars" effect? or is your screen perfect?

coz i'm trying to purchase a new VPC vaio Z, but all the models apparently have this "inherent flaw"

currently waiting for the new batch and check it out before purchase >.<

    My screen's perfect (!!!!!)

But seriously though, this sort of setup seems a bit extreme, most people won't use it, no?

Are you referring to dead bright pixels? I have none and if I did I wouldn't returned/exchanged my Z. The screen is so bright you couldn't possibly use it with the brightness cranked up in a dark room, though.

Mines fine too (1600x900), this is a hit and miss thing. A few people have reported stuck pixels, and have complained a lot about it, but think about all the people that haven't complained about having stuck pixels... It's all the luck of the draw, i mean that is A LOT of pixels... in a very tiny space so, i guess they're going to have some problems.

    thanks for the reply...

coz the remaining sets that sony have that they are trying to sell me...
comes with like 8 - 9 bright pixels, which they claim are "normal" for a LCD that has high pixels count >.<

^ they are feeding you bs. Not a single dead pixel on my z, and if I had one it would go straight back to them.

For the price of the Z not even 1 dead pixel will be tolerated I think!!!
