How can I reset my Vaio Z to the way it was when I got it out of the box? I got a brand new Vaio Z that was defective and the eBay seller is replacing it for me with another new one. I need to ship this out today, would love to get some advice ASAP. Thanks

Use the recovery disks you created in the beginning. If you did not create them, power off your Z and press the ASSIST button on the upper keyboard to boot it up into the recovery partition. Follow the instructions to recover to factory defaults. After that, you might consider setting up a bootcd and delete the free space to destroy your data that was left over on the disk after reformatting with the recovery system.

    Good luck and merry x-mas.

I found a "thank you" missing in this thread... Pyr0 just gave a brief and clear answer w/o any complaints to the OP. Thumbs up.
