So yeah, I finally realized that I got incredibly ripped off because I bought the inferior FZ140E model from Circuit City but I saw that Newegg has the configuration that I want for only $200 more. And I can get it delivered to me in time before I leave for school.
Since I've already opened the box and used it, what do I need to do to return the notebook for a full refund?
Update: I'm going to stop whining and just enjoy what I have. I'm going to be getting a new one in a year or two, so it's not that big of a deal. It can still do all the things I want it to do and I'll try and stop poking and prodding and trying to find something wrong with it to justifying spending more money.
Anyway, be that as it may, I still need to have my previous question answered about external monitors. This model does not have an HDMI port so how can I set up an external monitor with WSXGA resolution to the laptop for watching movies?
P.S. I know I have a great machine in my hands but I'm too stupid to realize it just right now. The complaining will stop real soon!

search for FZ190N4 on newegg, that is the best config/price

You use VGA to hook up your laptop to an external monitor.

I don't know about shops in the US, but, at the largest computer retail store here in Australia, you would need to have the box with all the packaging material completely intact. The package would need to be in a 100% re-sellable condition, considering it would need to be sold to another customer.
The worst thing they can do if you put in the effort to packing everything back up like new again is to say no. It's worth a try, if that is what you really want.
It's ok to complain every now and then, as long as it is not in excess. Anyone that spends the majority of their time complaining about this and that to their family and or friends will never be happy, considering they will always be thinking about it.
Just make sure you do your research next time! -

riffjaf,
Your ONLY hope is to do a complete restore from the recovery partition. Power off and during the boot process hit F10. This will boot to the recovery partition and allow you to restore the machine to its exact "out of the box" state.
Then package it back up EXACTLY as it looked when you bought it. Original box, original plastic bag, all the Styrofoam, manuals, "read me first" card... EVERYTHING. And then take it back to Circuit City. Then keep your fingers crossed that they don't charge you a restocking fee. (Which they are LIKELY to want to do.)
Good luck.
Don't hold your breath.

It sounds like riffjaff decided to keep his laptop. If you return it, you will be hit with a hefty restock fee, probably 15% and there's almost no chance of getting it waved.
Returning FZ and buying again from Newegg, need help!
