I upgraded my trusty Sony Vaio VGN SZ370P from the stock Windows XP to Windows 7 yesterday. After LOTS of experimenting, I got the entire thing up and running with the proper drivers and now have my function keys, devices etc. It took a lot of experimenting and I took a lot of wrong turns. Now that I have my machine running pretty slickly, is there a way to remove all of the garbage drivers I installed trying to restore functionality. Battery check and stuff like that for example. I am not a purist and I can live with things not being perfectly 'clean' but short of a clean install and starting over now with the drivers I know work, is there a way to simply uninstall the drivers I now know that I installed in error?

    TIA.

By the way, in case you haven't read all of the threads, despite what Sony says on their support sight, the old VGN SZ370P works beautifully with W7.

Is it not possible to remove an installed software/hardware driver. Is a re installation of the OS my only option?
