I just purchases a Sony Vaio FW455J with Vista 64 Home Premium. I have a home network running through a WRT110 Linksys router. One computer is hard wired and the other is a Dell laptop with Windows XP that connects perfectly. As soon as I try to connect the new Vista laptop, all connections go out, including the other laptop and hard wired computer. The only way to restore is to turn the wireless off of the Vista Laptop and reboot the modem/router. The Vista laptop connects to the network fine using a cable, it just knocks everything out when using wireless.

Things I have done: I upgraded to Vista SP 2 and uninstalled the less than helpful Sony smart connect program. Neither of these have helped. I amd using WPA2 security. This is driving me crazy. Any thoughts on how to fix this problem? I'm not sure if its a Vista or Linksys WRT110 issue.

    Thanks much,
    Doug

i once had a linksys wcg200 v2 router/modem that would go completely offline ONLY if i watched videos(nba games) on my wireless laptop. in my case..it was my router and linksys acknowledged it was a known issue so i returned it.
