The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Im wondering which one is faster to use on the Sony AW series..

    I'll be making Blu-Ray disc, Audio CD's, and DVD's..

    i think roxio better and less error

    nero is faster

    Data CDs and DVDs: VirtualCD. You can create a virtual disk first, test that it works as intended, and then burn it.

    Music CDs: Windows Media Player is more than adequate.

    Video DVDs: Pinnacle Studio (older versions are better, unless you need BD support) and Adobe Premiere.

    CDBurnerXP - works great (recent versions include Bluray). Have yet to burn a coaster - been using on 3 machines for over 2 years. (and freeware!)
