Greetings !
Let's say I'm in serious dillema.![]()
I'm leaning toward TX651 but sometimes I end up thinking about S560. :decision:
I want small and light notebook with good battery life but on the other hand I don't know if TX will suffice with his 1.2 GHz ULV and GMA 900 for general purpose. I'm also afraid that 11.1" screen will be to small.
But then again, S doesn't have Bluetooth built in, it's bigger and heavier than TX, and battery life is way shorter.
You guys that have tried both T(X) and S, can you drop comment or two ?
Thank you in advance !

I use a P7000 from Fujitsu every day, which is similar to the TX. You didn't tell us what you do with your machine, but I don't have any power problems with the PM 1.2 and since you can't expect to game on the machine, the GPU doesn't make any difference. I'd go look at the screen and see if you can live with that, but otherwise it sounds like a good fit for you.

Well, my Compaq (from the sig) is used mainly whan I'm away from home (because I have powerfull enough rig to do anything, games included).
Used for what ? Access internet when I'm away, usuall office apps, play DVD or two, and play games like Zuma, Hoyle Board games or couple of older games.
Guess TX can hold that all up... -
Easily. Then it really comes down to whether or not you can live with that screen size. I've been on a 10.6" for 3 years and enjoy it.

I am graduate student and am using S now.
At first I was going to buy a T but when we was in the store my friend told me that the screen of T is rather small. And for that reason I got a S but not T.
Right now I want to change my S to T because I found what I really want is longer battery life and a lighter machine. I have a PSP so I possibly won't try any game on laptop and T is much capable for office, internet, DVD and VS.net studio.
So, I just suggest TX if u are in my situation.
BTW, I really want to trade my S to T, anybody interested? -
I have one of the older T's (before the TX) and its a great little laptop, I use it for email, word processing, internet browesing website building and MSN. it does all of these will ease, I take to to school nearly everyday (its sooooo light) and since the battery lasts hours i dont even have to take the power lead (its never left me room ;-)) plus, all I have to do is put it on standby inbetween lessons, EASY! and the screen (which is smaller than the TX is great for watching movies, i was watching spiderman 2 on it earlier) is great for all the things i listed above, Also the bluetooth i think it a great advantage, being able to send MP3's to mates that have mp3 playing phones, for using my bluetooth mouse and keybaord with, for sending files to bluetooth computers, I know that we're more ahead with bluetooth in europe (I has suprised that the S diddent have it!) but I think that it would be wiser to go for the TX so your'l have a great all rounder notebook, and your future proofed for the bluetooth side of things

take it from a guy who bought the notebook with everything on it - get the smallest, lightest thing with the longest battery.
The thing that I love about the TX is that you can actually see more information on the screen than you can in the S series because of the higher resolution.
If you have the money go tx.

Don't forget that you can get Bluetooth as an option on the S580 (the configurable model)...
S or TX ?
