    Does the memory in the S4XX series goes run 533mhz or only 400? the ones tha comes with the computer is 400, but is it possible to buy a 533 one? will it work?

    It runs on the 915 chipset if that's what your asking...i think it comes with PC3200 (400) you can put PC4200 (533) in it if you'd like...not that it'd make any difference.

    Maxing out the RAM to 2 x 1GB modules of DDR2 533MHz RAM from Crucial has been the best upgrade to my S460 thus far, second would have to be Sony BPL2 extended life battery, and third would have to be the Creative Audigy 2 ZS PC card. Keep in mind the more RAM, the less your notebook has to access the HDD, the faster your memory intensive programs will run. Load time went drastically down on most of my games. I'm waiting to receive HL2 and BF2 to really test my machine.

    blue demon how much did it cost to upgrade? I'm thinkin of upgradin but dont feel the need to upgrade yet.. However oneday I might?

    Cost me $289 from www.crucial.com, I think of it as $39 b/c of the $250 in rebates I received from Sony and BestBuy. Installation was fairly simple, one slot on the underside of the notebook and the other under the keyboard. Usually coupons floating around the web also.

    How do you install the memory under the keyboard? Has anyone posted pictures for doing this?
