It seems that the connector on my S260 has stopped working properly. When I plug it into the AC, the screen still shows it as running on battery power. If I jiggle the connector (the one that connects to the laptop itself) - then I can get intermittant icon changes on the screen showing it is charging...and then it goes back to battery again if the laptop moves.....
anyone else have this problem? Any clues how I can fix it? Im guessing the connector is broken? It doesnt appear to be...

It's quite possible that there's an internal hardware problem and that something is wrong with the ac itself. I would guess there's internal wiring problems

im getting the feeling the yellow connector has just 'come loose' over time. Does anyone know if this is easily replaced or if this can be fixed by just tightening some screws on the inside?

These can be resoldered generally and we do them every day. DC jacks and hard drives are the 2 highest failed components in a laptop.
