I'm getting ready to order an S270 and think it sucks that Sony not only doesn't offer 400mhz memory which the chipset supports, but charges more for 333mhz memory than 400mhz memory costs aftermarket. They do the same on the S380, offering 400mhz memory rather than 533mhz.

So my question is, does anyone know if a S270 has been successfully upgraded to 400mhz memory? I read someplace that upgrading memory in the S series was overcomplicated, requiring like 10-13 steps, or am I thinking of another laptop?

Anyone had experience with doing this? I know the chipset supports it but I wouldn't put it past Sony to have some sort of bios setting that didn't allow 400mhz memory.

    Thanks!
