The S3 range comes with only DDR 333 RAM when it apparently can support DDR2 533!!!!! The S2 range had DDR ram.. i think it's stupid and a rip off for sony to sell a new laptop with low spec old ram.

Can anyone confirm if the FSB is 533 rather than 400?

I'm also tired of sony's lack of innovation. Apple are miles ahead with IBM, Toshiba behind them. I'd say Samsung and Dell will overtake Sony soon enough.

    What do you think?

It seems Sony sales gave me duff information.

It appears Sony have finally updated their http://vaio.sony-europe.com website and claim the machine is:
    Frontside Bus (MHz) 533
    Memory Speed (MHz) 400
DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-3200 - DDR2-400) (some shared with the video memory)

At least they do have DDR2... I wish they had made it 533 ram rather than 400!
