I have a S360 after I replaced the HD from the stock 5400 rpm to the new 7200 rpm HD the laptop just keep crashing every 5 mins to every 20 mins. The laptop freeze up randomly sometime it will freeze after the laptop boot into window.
I should give a little history on why I have to replace the HD. As I am driving with my GF and I have my laptop bag sitting in the back seat. My GF need to get soemthing from my bag after she is done she just throw the bag back to the back seat. Quote "oohs, i dont know you have your laptop in the bag!".........after that the S360 will not turn on.
I bought the s360 from ebay so no warrenty from Sony I mange to open the laptop myself and find out that the HD is bad so I replaced the HD and after replacing the HD the s360 will turn on but just freeze randomly...When the computer freeze basicly the computer just lockup the mouse will not move I have to hold the power button to power cycle the s360.
Another problem I am having is the Sony ATI driver will not work I didn't use the recovery CD I manually installed WinXP pro. Everytime I install the Sony ATI driver the computer will not load and give me a blue screen. I have to use the Omega driver right now. I am thinking if it is the Omega driver that make the computer crash radomly or something else is wrong inside the laptop. I checked the memeory and all the cables inside the s360 everything is tight and I can't see any other parts is damge from the "throw".
Any ideas?

I reformated the s360 last night still have the same problem after I installed the ATI driver I get a blue screen error the "atidvg" (i dont remember the exact file name). The Sony ATI driver works before because when I first bought the s360 I wipe everything out right away and used the same driver. Now only the Omege drivers will work. I did a google search on the "atdv something something error" is related to the driver or a faulty video card.
I opened up the laptop again last night and checked every cable and parts is tighly connected. How offen does the video card will go bad on the s360? I dont think the video card is replaceable? Since it is attached to the motherboard.
S360 Keep freezing!
