Having missed the opportunity to buy S360 for $1,450 (after rebate) + Tax, I'm thinking about buying one from amazon.com. I have never bought any product w/ LCD screen from web retailers. (for dead pixel, return,...that kind of problem) But since the price from amazon.com is great (1,500 + no tax), I am seriously considering this option. But still, I'm very concerned about buying a $1,500 product from a web retailer.

Any thoughts? especially about buying from amazon.com?

Assuming it is from Amazon itself, it is about as safe as you can get.

I wouldn't buy from one of the private sellers who use their market place.

Have you checked the Clearance models at Sony? They come with a full warranty and often can be bargains.

I bought my laptop from Amazon, it arrived with zero dead pixels.
